Evolution
They say that evolution is just a theory, and that is very possible. Theories consist of a hypothesis and an end result. Whether that hypothesis matches your result, that's another story. Evolution has been occurring since the first prokaryotes were formed. Throughout time there is a substantial amount of evidence that organisms evolve, whether it's for adaptation or a mutation of DNA in an organism. I think many people are just ignorant to the fact about evolutionary concepts. I am not an atheist myself, but the majority of the population has some sort of belief system, whether it's religion or some other form. Most people don't want to believe that we just evolved from apes, or that the earth was created from some cosmic explosion. Most of society wants to believe that there is someone or something out there watching over us, and that's perfectly fine, I am christian myself, but we can't ignore the fact that most of the scientific concepts of evolution are very plausible, and should not be overlooked.

I do agree with you in a sense. You can't just turn your back on scientific evidence! However, I too am a Christian, and I choose to lean more towards my beliefs and my faith. That's not to say I don't take evolution into consideration. There are many different concepts and theories in this world about our existence, and who's to say one is more right than the other. In my mind, we are all entitled to believe in something, and I doubt we will ever figure it out anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat is true. Scientists come up with many different theories behind man's existence and many religious people have different beliefs but I guess we will never really know how it all started.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with you. I think peoples religious beliefs create an ignorance to any idea that conflicts with there beliefs. They are more comfortable with the idea of "God created man" than with "man evolved from ape."
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, but the theory of evolution can't be completely discounted.
